Ms. Mercedes Rutledge, 27 of Birmingham, AL formerly of Welch, AL passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, 1:00 p.m. CST at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in (Welch Community) Roanoke, AL, Rev. Calvin Trammell, Pastor; Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her parents, Harvey and Machel Rutledge of Welch, AL, two sisters, Porsha and Jetta of Welch, AL, a loving grandmother, Annette Oliver of Welch, AL, aunts, Mattie (Charlie) Boddie of Welch, AL, Novic Vines of Auburn, AL, Tracy(Ronnie) Kyles of Five Points, AL, Carrie Rutledge of Newnan, GA, and Kathy Vines of LaFayette, AL, uncles, Minister Antonio (Vanessa) Oliver of Roanoke, AL, Richard Rutledge of Washington, D.C. and Cleveland Rutledge of Franklin, GA, special nephew, Amilleon Hughley and niece, Akijah Woody, special long time friend, Simone Williams, special roommate, Teanna Thomas and the 42 Suh’s for Life, god children, Zari, Payton, Princeton and Chance, special cousins, who were like siblings, Quentin, Cedric, Kawanis, Jovohn, Rika, LaDajiah and Terika, special cousins, Wes, Tamika, Aaliyah, Lyric, Raven and Ricky, two great aunts, Maisie Beasley of Franklin, GA and Dorothy Oliver of Roanoke, AL, a host of cousins, special friends, her church family and many, many other loving friends.
