Mr. John Henry Merriweather, 85 of Sharpsburg, GA passed way on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, GA.

Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, 1:00 p.m. CST at Friendship Baptist Church No. 1 in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Cornelius Reese, Jr., Pastor; Officiating. Burial will follow in Handy Memorial Cemetery in LaFayette, AL.

Mr. Merriweather is survived by his wife, Odessa Merriweather of Sharpsburg, GA, two sons, Charles (Ilona) Bailey of Alaska and Michael Bailey of Sharpsburg, GA, two daughters, Lesia (Jimmy) Jackson of Conyers, GA and Diane Hill of Decatur, GA, one sister, Vivian (Jack) Meadows of Texas, seventeen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
