Bro. Raymond J. Phillips “Coach”, 68 of LaFayette, AL passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at EAMC in Opelika, AL.
Public Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home in LaFayette.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, 12:00 PM CST at New Harmony Baptist Church, Roanoke, AL, Pastor Douglas Jones, Sr. Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Bro. Phillips sis survived by his children: son, Jerome L. Phillips of Atlanta, GA, daughters, Shemeka Phillips (Westley Harper) of Lawrenceville, GA, and Chiquita Phillips of Greenville, AL, granddaughters, Altonza Payton and Ma’Kailyn Betton, great-granddaughters, Avion and Delayza Payton, his siblings: William (Georgia Ann) Phillips of Roanoke, AL, Denia Crosby of Crestwood, KY, Bernice Holman of Birmingham, AL, Benny Higgins of Wadley, AL, and Kenneth (Nannette) Phillips of Roanoke, AL, he has a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
