Mr. Charlie James Woody, 66 of LaFayette, AL passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.

Public visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, 2:00 until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, 1:00 PM CST at Essie J. Handy Cemetery in LaFayette, AL, Reverend Douglas Jones, Sr., Officiating.

Mr. Charlie Woody leaves to cherish his memories and celebrate his life to his four sons, Gregory Bailey (Jessica Short) of Penton, AL; Darrell Woody, Derrick Woody and Willie Woody of Atlanta, GA; two daughters, Minnie Marshall and Shakira Marshall, both of Roanoke, AL, a special friend, LaCrystal Avery; brothers, Haywood Woody, Jr. of Milltown, AL,  Jimmy Woody (Judy Kate Phillips), of Penton, AL, James Whitlow and Johnathan Whitlow of Lafayette, AL; sisters,  Clara Carr (James Avery) of Wadley, AL, Annie Woody and Gwen Wright of Milltown, AL, Janice Hunter, Mattie Whitlow, Pearlie Walker, Kelly Whitlow and Maxine Whitlow, all of Lafayette, AL; eighteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two uncles, Marvin  Daniel of Valley, AL and James Daniel of Atlanta, GA; one sister-in-law, Jackie Woody of Valley, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
