Deacon James Edward Woody, 73 of Camp Hill, AL passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.
Deacon Woody will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, 1:00 PM at God's House of Prayer in Camp Hill, AL, Bishop Frank McLeod, Pastor | Officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Lovely Baptist Church Cemetery in Camp Hill, AL.
Deacon Woody leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Juanita H. Woody, daughters, Charlotte Woody and Alleisha Levett, both of Camp Hill, AL, Carmmillia (Michael) Pearson of Dadeville, AL, Teresa (Charles) Heard Drinkard of Mobile, AL and Tracey (Israel) Thomas of Jackson's Gap, AL, a special grandson, like a son, Kayden Collins of Camp Hill, AL, sister, Sharon (Ronald) Washington of New Orleans, LA, brothers, Edward (Riva) Williams of Slidell, LA and Ricky (Deidra) Williams of Baton Rouge, LA, god sister, Evangelist Verlinda White of Auburn, AL, six brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, true best friends, William Hart and Larry Heard, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
