Mr. Arthur James Rudd, 77 of Lanett, AL passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his residence.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. EST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021, 1:00 p.m. EST at Mt. Zion AME Cemetery in Opelika, AL, Rev. Debbie Dowdell, Officiating and Bishop Donald Lancaster, Eulogist

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his loving wife of 59 years, Gertha Ree Rudd, his beloved children,  McArthur (Patsy) Rudd, Francine Avery, and Anthony Rudd, grandchildren, Wayne Brooks, Torrance (Serena) Rudd, Demetrius (Whitney) Rudd, and Jocelyn Rudd, four great-grandchildren, Trinity Guice, Taysean Darden, Gabrielle Rudd, and Andrew Rudd, sister, Rosie (William) Johnson, three sisters-in-law, Louise Rudd, Mary Ingram, and Susie Askew, brother-in-law, Wheeler Ingram, step mother-in-law, Hattie Ingram, and a host of loving nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
