Mr. Bennie Rufus Banks, Jr., 69 of Valley, AL, passed away on Saturday April 1, 2023, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
Public viewing will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 3pm to 6pm CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023, 1:00 PM EST at James Hardy Gymnasium, 1302 Cherry Drive, Lanett, AL 36863, Bishop Micah Bonner, Eulogist, Rev. Michael Stiggers, Officiating.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett, AL.
Mr. Banks leaves to cherish his memories and love: his loving and devoted daughters: Madelyn (Eric) Snipes, Allison (Lydell) Banks-Trimble, Kreshinda Banks, Desiria D. Banks, and Catherine Banks; a step-daughter that he loved as his own, Andreena Lynch; step-son, Xavier Butler, his grandchildren that was his pride and joy: Tatyana Banks, Antrineshia Banks, Alyric Wright, Benquaveus Banks, Javoris Sharpe, A’niyah Hutchinson, Donivan Banks, Zachary Banks, and Alyssa Trimble; bonus grandchildren, Davontae Lynch, Alicia Porter, and Zy’Rhiana Porter; a great granddaughter, Nola Rose Bailey; his sisters: Mary Alice Banks, Linda Holmes, and Desiria Y. Banks; nieces that he loved more as daughters: LaShandra (Reginald) Banks-Knox, Tunisia (Jerome) Hall, and Deidre Holmes; nephews that he guided into life as sons: Donald (Linda) Holmes Jr, Marcus (Zella'Ques) Holmes, Demetrius Banks, Sidney Banks, Bentley Banks, and Bryant Banks; his Godchildren Jimmy (Sheneka) Lewis Jr, Kimberly Lewis, and Cassandra (Jesse) Walker; his best friends: Henry Tucker, Bishop Micah Bonner, Jerome Moore, and Willie B. Johnson; a host of cousins and special friends.
