Mr. Bennie Cannon, Jr. 76 of Decatur, GA passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026.

Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 1:00 PM CST until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home in LaFayette, AL.

Mr. Cannon will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral Services.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, 2:00 PM CST at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in Roanoke, AL, Rev. Lorenzo D. Foster, Pastor, Rev. Gilbert Staples, Officiating, Rev. Jerome Trammell, Eulogist.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Cannon leave cherished memories to his children, Detra Cannon Combs (Greg), Michael Cannon (Jamekia), Kenya Jackson, Stacy Hunter (Jeff) of Chattanooga, TN and Jackie Baker of Wedowee, AL, four siblings, Willie Dean Bell, Louise Cannon Burrows, Harry Truman Cannon, Barbara Greathouse (John), all of Roanoke, AL, special aunt, Annie Dora Trammell of Roanoke, one uncle, Rev. W. H. Trammell of Roanoke, AL, one brother-in-law, Sammie Lee Hughley of Atlanta, GA, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
