Mr. Curtis Howard Owens, Jr., 66 of Amityville, NY (formerly of LaFayette, AL) passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his residence.

Public Viewing will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, 11:00 a.m. CST at Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Maurice Chandler, Officiating

Survivors included Debra Owens, his mother, Margaret Owens of Amityville, NY, son, Daquan Owens of Wyandanch, NY, daughters, Schnell Smith of Hempstead, NY, Nicole Hearon of Fort Worth, TX, India Young of Texas, grandchildren, Asianna Steans of Philadelphia, PA, Daisa Hearon and Qyham Hearon both of Fort Worth, TX, and Mia Young of Texas, Tiana Smith, and Tamia Smith both of Hempstead, NY, brother, Charles Samuel Owens, Sr., of Amityville, NY, three sisters, Diane (Carl) Lewis of LaFayette, AL, Lorene (Kenny) McKesson of Snellville, GA, and Dr. Amelia S. Carr (Bobby) of Bowling Green, OH, and Rev. Billie Boyd Cox of Covington, GA, and a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, and great great-nephew, three aunts, Mary O. Lylerly, and Jeanette Owens both of LaFayette, AL, and Annie Ruth Tucker of Akron, OH, special friends, Rev. Maurice Chandler, Judy Yates, Alvin Mosley, Alfonso Mosley, and Bobby McCall and all of his cousins.
