Mr. Franklin Roosevelt Carr, 95 of LaFayette, AL passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
Public Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.
Mr. Carr will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, 1:00 p.m. CST at Greater Poplar Springs Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL, Reverend Jerone Fannin, Pastor | Officiant.
Burial will follow in Essie J. Handy Cemetery in LaFayette.
Mr. Carr is survived by one son, Juan Carr of LaFayette, AL, three daughters, Sandy Brooks of LaFayette, AL, Vanessa Carr of Auburn, AL and Deborah Ann Carr of Atlanta, GA, three brothers, Lewis Carr, Tommie Carr, and Jimmy Carr, all of LaFayette, AL, one sister, Lillie M. Carr of LaFayette, AL, one very special granddaughter, Joshalyn Tolbert of Opelika, AL, a granddaughter, Laqweta Carr of Atlanta, GA, three grandsons, Maurice Brooks of LaFayette, AL, Rodney Carr and Termaine Carr, both of Atlanta, GA, a special neighbor, Norman King, special nieces, Autry Hardnett, Andrea Linson, Sebrisha Hardnett, and Amanda Durham, all of LaFayette, AL, nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
