Mr. Gary "Doat" Heard

Mr. Gary "Doat" Heard, 62 of Guin, AL, formerly of Camp Hill, AL passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 at his home.

Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home in LaFayette.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, 11:00 a.m. CST at God's House of Prayer Holiness Church in Camp Hill, AL, Bishop Frank McLeod, Pastor / Officant. Burial will follow in Camp Hill City Cemetery in Camp Hill, AL.

Mr. Heard will lie in state at the church one hour prior to funeral service.

Gary leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted special friend, Earnestine Salter of Guin, AL, two children, Akina Turner of Dadeville, AL, and Larry DeWayne Evans of Auburn, AL, a special bonus daughter, Regina Salter of Guin, AL, five sisters: Clarice McGee of Buffalo, NY, Juanita (James) Woody, and Tina Floyd, both of Camp Hill, AL, Cynthia Frank Cobb of Auburn, AL, and Sherry (Charles) Chambers of Opelika, AL, five brothers: Joseph Heard and Michael Heard, both of Camp Hill, AL, LaMorris (Camilla) Heard of Waverly, AL, Elmore Heard of Buffalo, NY, and O’Neal Heard of Atlanta, GA,  one aunt, Irene Brown of Baltimore, MD, one uncle, Clanton Copeland of Baltimore, MD, four grandchildren: Deonta Crayton and Joshua Crayton, both of Dadeville, AL, Dyjuan Bias Evans of Camp Hill, AL, and Akira Evans of Valley, AL, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
