Graveside Services will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021, 1:00 p.m. CST at New Mt. Sellers Baptist Church Cemetery in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Terry L. Magby, Sr., Pastor, Officiating

James is survived by his mother, Mae Emma Vines of Lafayette, AL; son Ja’Xarte Hill of Opelika, Alabama and daughter; Jicorya McCurdy of Douglasville, GA.; 2 sisters San Janette King of Augusta, GA and Kathy Vines of Lafayette, AL; 5 brothers Randall (Aida) Vines of Penscola, FL, Leonard Vines (Patricia), Gary Vines, Michael (Laura) Ross, all of Lafayette, AL, and Chris (Leanne) Ross of Auburn, AL; 2 grandsons Tray and Carter of Douglasville, GA; 1 sister in law, Novic Vines of Auburn, AL;  A host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a special niece and caregiver  Terrika Mangram and a childhood friend Rev. George Rampey of LaFayette, AL.
