Mr. Jesse James Hooks, 81 of Hartford, CT, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. CST, at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.

Graveside Services will be Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. CST, at Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery in Roanoke AL, Pastor Connie Hall, Eulogist.

Mr. Hooks leaves to cherish his memories, his loving children, Jernigan "Johnny" (Martila) Hooks of New Britain, CT, Veronica Hooks of Whitinsville, MA, and Roslynn Hooks of New Britain, CT; daughter-in-law, Iris Hooks of East Hartford, CT; grandchildren, Latron Hooks, Tamra (Raymond) Sanchez, Tiffany Hooks, Omari Hooks, Darryl Hooks II, Rushern Hooks, Seth Hooks-Simmonds, and Devvon Hooks; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Nadia, Jazmyn, Laylah, George, Jason, and Frank; 11 siblings, Hattie Brooks, Lemerle Gunn, Irene (Jerry) Roundtree, Jessie Mae (Godfrey) Griffin, Sheila (Sanders) Higgins, Gwendolyn Hooks, Stanley Hooks, Carrie (Curtis) Copeland, Dianne Phillips, Michael Wood, and Martha McCurty; sister-in-law, Cynthia Hooks; and a host of other relative and friends.
