Mr. Jessie Dewon Phillips, 37 of Opelika, AL passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.

Public Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.

Mr. Phillips will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, 12:00 PM CST at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Gary L. Dixon, Pastor | Officiating, Rev. Thomas Weaver, Eulogist.

Burial will follow in Essie J. Handy Cemetery in LaFayette, AL.

Mr. Phillips leaves cherished memories with his wife, Kyneshia Wright Phillps of Opelika, AL, twelve children: Jersey Phillips, Jordyn Phillips, Ar’moni Chambers, A’mauri Wright, all of Opelika, AL, Trustin Phillips of Roanoke, AL, Jessie Phillips, Jayla Phillips, JaKayla Phillips and Jamia Phillips, all of Montgomery, AL, Jessie Phillips and Jessica Phillips both of Tuskegee, AL, and Jessie Phillips of Huntsville, AL, his father, Michael L. Ford, one sister, Rochelle Hayes of Beaugard, AL, a sister-in-law, Thelesia King of LaGrange, GA, a brother/cousin, Tyree Caldwell of Valley, AL, two brothers-in-law, Rotavion Phillips of LaFayette, AL and Theodis King of Columbus, GA, his adopted mother/aunt, Minnie Lou Caldwell of Cusseta, AL, mothers-in-law, Mary Nell (Lenwood) Wright and Lisa (Brian) Reynolds, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
