Mr. John Louis Cook, 76 of Valley, AL passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, GA.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM EST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2022, 1:00 PM EST at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Salem, AL, Pastor Marshall S. Morgan, Sr., Officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Juanita Cook of LaGrange, GA, his children: Deborah Glaze of Phenix City, AL, Patricia Boyd of Valley, AL, Lewis Reed of Phenix City, AL, Jeffery (Pamela) Reed of Jacksonville, FL, Christopher Brown of Valley, AL, Richard Cook, Sr. of Valley, AL, Tara Cook of Auburn, AL, and Valerie Hall of LaGrange, GA, his brothers: Earl (Darlene) Cook of Columbus, GA, Benjamin (Sandrette) Cook, Tyrone (Regina) Jefferson, Timothy Jefferson, and Charlie (Dominquia) Jefferson, all of Smiths, AL, his sisters: Charlie “Polly” Lamb, and Annie Eloise (Geoffrey) Burton, both of Madison, AL, Dorothy Wilson of Smiths, AL, and Elaine Lynch, grandchildren: Norman Glaze, Toney Glaze, Justin Boyd, Joshua Boyd, Chiquita Reed, Tanyieka Reed, Jared Reed, Richard Cook, Jr., ReKentavian Cook, Tiara Cook, Tiffany (John) Ellis, Tamaya Cook, Jasmine Jones, Bianca (DeShawn) Maddox, Brittany Epps, Octavius Hall, Jr., Hernandez Hall, Josiah (Vandell) Ramsey, Shardae Ramsey, David Ramsey and Stephanique Bosayni, great-grandchildren: Kierstyn Truitt, Khristian Glaze, Jerode Camp, Jayceon Camp, Dantavious Boykin, Ayanna Boykin, NaTavian Grissom, Ryleigh Grissom, Kyler Grissom, Alijah Hill, Gabriel Ellis, Alexia Ellis, and Khloe Maddox, special brother, John Mark McCullough, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
