Mr. John Eddie Burton “Shorty”, 88 of LaFayette, AL passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at LaFayette Nursing Home.

Public Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2023, 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, 12 Noon CST at Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Cornelius Reese, Officiating.

Mr. Burton is survived by two daughters, Lorraine Turner of Talladega, AL, and Lorie (Jerome) Story of LaFayette, AL, one brother, Bommer (Martha) Burton of LaFayette, AL, one sister, Ruby (Marvin) Daniel, of Lanett, AL, four grandchildren, Kenya Spence and Angela Thomas, both of Talladega, AL, Christopher Hodges of Wadley, AL and LaMiracle Hodges of LaFayette, AL, three great-grandchildren, Kaelynn Reid, Adalynn Williams, and Kysen Garrett, all of Talladega, AL, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
