Mr. Mackel Dawson, 73, of Opelika, AL, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021.

Public Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. CST, at Silmon Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.

Graveside Services will be Thursday, December 9, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. CST, at Sardis Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Gregory Sutton, Officiating.

Mr. Dawson leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Susan (Eric) Dawson-Terry of Miami, FL; two sons, Terry Dawson of Valley, AL and Derick Dawson of Opelika, AL; two stepsons, Dennis and Tony Longshore; two brothers, James O’Neal Holloway of California and Leon (Tammy) Turner of LaFayette, AL; three sisters: Charlene Edwards, Christine (Smokie) Carr both of LaFayette, AL, and Helen Turner of Lanett, AL; two uncles, Sam Dawson of Valley, AL and Alfred (Mary)  Jennings of Lanett, AL; three aunts, Willean Jefferson of Atlanta, GA, Velma Walker and Annette Towels of Lanett, AL; one special friend, Mrs. Willie Pearl Russell; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
