Mr. Mahlard Jeremiah “Junior” Shabazz, 86 of Lafayette, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at his home.

There will be no public visitation.

Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, 12:30 PM CST at Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery, Lafayette, AL. Pastor Cornelius Reese, Officiating.

His memories will be cherished by his children: three sons, Mark Allen, Salt Lake City UT, Karrine Mallard, Florida, and Omar Khayam, Hollywood, FL; four siblings, Rosa H. Nelson, Atlanta, GA, Odessa Merriweather, Conyers, GA, Willie E. (Shirley) Boyd, Canton, OH, Benjamin (Lillie A.) Hakim, Canton, OH, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
