Mr. Ray Parkmond

Mr. Ray Parkmond, 74 of West Point GA, passed away on Saturday April 15, 2023, at West Georgia Hospice Care in LaGrange, GA. 

Public viewing will be Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm EST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette, AL.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 1:00 pm EST at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church Family Life Center in LaFayette, AL,  Pastor Michael T. Stiggers, Officiating and Rev. John Parkmond, Eulogist  

Burial will follow in the Union Springs UMC Cemetery in West Point, GA.

Mr. Ray Parkmond leaves to cherish his memories and love: his loving, devoted, caregiving, and beautiful wife of 26 years, Dorothy Jean Parkmond; daughters: Lynda Allen, Racine (William) Boyd, Christine (Alfred) Randolph, Vera (Willie) Moreland, Sherry (Carl) Dudley and  Alisa (Derrick) Winston; a son, Corey McKenzie; three grandchildren that he raised as his own: Antrece (Aaron) Adams, Antavious Boyd, and Makayala McKenzie; fourteen loving grandchildren; forty three great-children and five great- great-grandchildren; sisters: Laura Jean Delaney, Christella (Tommy) Tucker, Coetha (Curtis) Wilkerson, Shirley (James) High, and Mattie (Joe)  Walker; brothers: Frank (Joyce) Parkmon, Rev. John (Sally) Parkmond, Bennie Parkmond, and Joseph (Cynthia) Parkmond, a mother-in-law, Juliette Holloway, twelve in-laws, three devoted goddaughters, Anntonyius Marshall, Allison (Lydell) Banks-Trimble, and Nora Tolbert; special friends, Clifford and Ethel Todd, Alford and Freda Moss, and Roger Ghoston; a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
