Mr. Richard Ford, Sr. 80 of Camp Hill, AL passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.

Mr. Ford will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, 1:00 p.m. CST at New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Camp Hill, AL, Rev. Justin M. Freeman, Pastor | Officiating, Rev. Dr. JaCorey Calloway, Eulogist. 

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

He leaves behind a strong legacy to cherish his memories~Six children: Anthony (Linda) Ford, Sara (Henry) Turner, Richard (Deborah) Ford Jr., all of Camp Hill, AL; Doletha Farrow, Opelika, AL; Stanley (Mary) Chislom, Wadley, AL; and Courtney Whitlow, Auburn, AL. Twenty-three grandchildren: Shinetta Ware, Keith Ware, Cedric (Brandi) Edwards Sr., Marcus Ware, Laneka Griffin, Laqunda Tolbert, Starlet (JaCorey) Calloway, Janika Ford, April Ford, Tiffany Chislom, Alexis Ford, Calvin (Rachel) Ware, Tatianna Holloway, Dewaynia Farrow, Raven Chislom, Ra’Shena Holloway, Michael Farrow, Julian Smith, Megan Smith, Ki’Janae Whitlow, Caisley Bledsoe, Cayden Whitlow, and Camille Whitlow; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; one brother-in-law, Steven Lee Picker, Hogansville, GA; one sister-in-law, Annie Dell Ergle, Lagrange, GA; two godsons, Vandrell Ross and Reginald Walton; a honorary daughter, Maxine Williams; blood brother, Terry Ware; special cousin, Malvin Mae Presley; special niece, Belinda Taylor; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Ross; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that he loved dearly.
