Mr. Terry A. Hooks, 45 of Killeen, TX, formerly of the Welch Community, AL, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 in Temple, TX.

Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 2:00 until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, 1:00 PM CST at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Roanoke, Welch Community, AL, Pastor Calvin Trammell, Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Hooks is survived by his wife, Lecresha Hooks of Killeen, TX, a daughter, Naiya Hooks, a step-daughter, Marguishia Nevel, and a son, Timothy Hooks of Killeen, TX, his parents, Johnny Higgins of Roanoke, AL and Andra Higgins of Henry County, GA, three brothers, Reggie (LaKeisha) Hooks of Roanoke, AL, Andrew (Latoya) Hooks of LaGrange, GA, and Damion Hooks of Welch, AL, three sisters, Tiffany (Rodney) Beaty of LaFayette, AL, Tedra (Antonio) Woody of West Point, GA, and Nedra Hooks of Welch, AL, one special grandmother, Retha Mae Hooks, paternal aunts: Debra, Nicole, Ethella, Lisa, Phyllis, and Christine, a close friend that was like a brother, Leo DowDen, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving friends.
