Mr. William Ray Oliver, Jr. "Bo-K, Booch", 88 of Roanoke, AL passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.
Mr. Oliver will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, 1:00 p.m. CST at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Roanoke (Welch), AL, Reverend Calvin Trammell, Pastor | Eulogist, Minister Tony Oliver | Officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Oliver leaves cherished memories with his loving and (always right by his side) wife, Jewell Smedley Oliver for over 60 years, Roanoke, AL, two children, Carrie (George) Whatley of Roanoke, AL and Jeffery (Kim) Smedley of LaGrange, GA, grandchildren: Jamaal Maurice Whatley of Roanoke, AL, Princess (Douglas) Heard of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Devante Dominique (Jill) Smedley of LaGrange, GA, Nikita and Eric of Atlanta, GA, great-grandchildren: Averee Brooke and Adelyn Bree Whatley, Evelynn Raine, Hazel Snoh and Ocean Smedley, Antonio, Aijah, Ayden, and Antjuan, a lifelong (ride or die) friend of 70 plus years, Brother Paige Boddie, lifelong cousin (the nurse), Sister Annette Oliver and Sister Betty Patterson. William “as Bo-K” will be remembered by so many special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
