Mrs. Machel Rutledge, 60 of Five Points, AL passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.
Mrs. Rutledge will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, 11:00 a.m. CST at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Roanoke (Welch Community), AL, Pastor Calvin Trammell, Officiating | Eulogist.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Rutledge leaves to cherish her precious memories: her devoted husband of 36 years, Harvey Rutledge (Welch, Al); 2 loving daughters, Porshia Oliver and Jetta Rutledge (Welch, Al); one grandson who was the joy of her life, Amilleon Huguley (Welch, Al); Her steadfast and loyal mother, Annette Oliver (Welch, Al); 4 faithful, loving, and caring siblings, Mattie (Charles) Boddie (Welch, Al); Novic Vines (Auburn, Al); Rev. Antonio (Vannessa) Oliver (Roanoke, Al); and Tracy (Ronnie) Kyles (Five Points, Al); One Sister-in-Law, Carrie Rutledge (Hogansville, Ga); 3 Brother-In-Laws, Richard Rutledge (Fort Lauderdale, Fl); Cleveland Rutledge (Franklin, Ga); and Gary Vines (LaFayette, Al). Special nieces she loved as own: Rika Vines, Aaliyah Rutledge, Ladaijah Hooks, Akijah Woody, Jacoriah Tigner, and Terrika Mangram. Special nephews she also loved as her own: Quentin Oliver, Jovohn Oliver, and Cedric (Kiwi) Drake. Nieces and nephews: Chance, Lyric, Cai, River, Ryder, Ella, Sade, Elli, Ahmad, Charlnita, Lashae, Nia, JBoddie, Ashton, and Arya. Her Birmingham Extended Family, a host of cousins, special friends, The Class of 1982, her Canaan Church Family, Candlewick Family, and many other loving friends.
