Mrs. Teresa Ann Avery Woody

Mrs. Teresa "Erra" Avery Woody, 56 of Valley, AL passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.

Mrs. Avery-Woody will lie in state at the church one-hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, 12:00 p.m. CST at Greater Poplar Springs Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL, Pastor Jerone Fannin, Officiating

Burial will follow in Essie J. Handy Cemetery in LaFayette, AL.

Mrs. Avery-Woody leaves cherished memories with her loving and devoted husband, Micheal Woody, seven children: TyMicheal Avery, of Columbus, Georgia, Demetrius (Lamar) Wright, Tunisha Avery, Corenta Avery, Keaundrae Woody, Keonte Avery, and Kenyette Woody, all of Valley, Alabama, nineteen grandchildren, one sister, Jeanell Avery (Donshell Askew) of Lanett, AL, two brothers, Curtis (Jill) Avery, and Jack Avery both of Lanett, Alabama, four brothers-in-law, Joseph Woody of  Troy, Alabama, Victor Woody of Opelika, Alabama, Greg Jones of Lanett, Alabama, and Jerry Jones of Valley, Alabama, one sister-in-law, Sherry Harrington of Opelika, Alabama, three aunts, Ester Williams of Lanett, Alabama, Shirley (Nick) Huguley and Josephine Avery, both of LaFayette, AL, one uncle, Frank J. Presley, of LaFayette, Alabama, two cousins who were raised together as sisters, Estella (Leon) Perryman, Tangi (Delavenchi) Jackson and Nora (Kevin) Baxter, both of Lanett, Alabama, another special cousin, Shannon (Jeffery) Wilson, of Center Point, Alabama, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends whom she loved dearly.
