Mrs. Wendolyn L. Heard Mackey

Mrs. Wendolyn L. Mackey, 58 of Opelika, AL, formerly of LaFayette, AL, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, 1:00 p.m. CST at Pine Grove United Methodist Church in LaFayette, AL, Pastor Cecelia Broome, Eulogist, Bishop Larry Torbert, Sr., Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

She leaves to cherish her memories to her children: Gregory (Tiffany) Heard and Mary Heard, both of LaFayette, AL, Alexis Heard and Jessica Heard, both of Opelika, AL, brothers: Allen Burton, Ricky Heard, and Hershel (Thelma) Heard, all of LaFayette, AL, and Jeffery Render of LaGrange, GA, sisters: Brenda (John) Bailey and Cynthia Story, both of LaFayette, AL, and Jennifer Render (Dan) Delaney, of LaGrange, GA, one sister-in-law, Willie Eva Heard of LaFayette, AL, aunts: Charlene Meadows, Barbara Love, and Betty Patten, all of LaFayette, AL, one uncle, Willis Jr. Heard of Roanoke, AL, grandchildren: Johnathan Heard, Montavious Dawson, La’Adrian Perry, Ced’Dricko Billingslea, Chico Perry, Justin Perry, Dalvon Perry, Shyneilya Finley, Eriyunna Holloway, Cardarrien Whitlow, Kayshayla Whitlow, Cartez Heard, and Kayla Watts, great-grandchildren: Karter Heard, Kamias Watts, Zoey Dawson, and Sonder Perry, special friend, Denise Briskey, devoted friend, Owen Wesley Key, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
