Ms. Bessie Mae Carr, 57 of Lanett, AL passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

A Private Graveside Service was held on Monday, April 27, 2020, 1:00 p.m. CST at Handy Memorial Cemetery in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Gary L. Dixon; Officiating.

Ms. Carr leaves cherished memories with three children that she loved unconditionally; her son, Lamorris Carr of Lanett, AL; two daughters, Mekedah (Angel) Carr of Lanett, AL and Shiyaca Williams of Valley, AL; mother, Mattie Ruth Caldwell of Lanett, AL; four remaining siblings, Mrs. Victoria (Joey) Billingsley of Hinesville, GA, Mrs. Dorothy Ruth (John) Sands of Nashville, TN, Mr. Lee Preston (Marie) Carr of Valley, AL, Mr. Tommy (Rosie) Carwell of Kellyton, AL and Ms. Rita Rowland of West Point, GA; Nine grandchildren whom she felt were never wrong; Ah’Jacense (AJ) Jackson, Angel (Kayla) Lovelace, Isaiah (Zae) Lovelace of Lanett, AL; Lamarkis (LJ) Carr, Lamorris (J.R) Carr Jr., Christopher Core of Valley, AL, and Kayden Patton of Lafayette, AL; a loving and devoted cousin, Mr. Jerome Ballard of Lanett, AL; two caring friends, Mr. Tracey Billingsley and Miss. Maxcine Ross and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved her tremendously.

A Public Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
