Ms. Dorothy Jean Brooks-Colson, 47 of Columbus, GA passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

Public Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.

Ms. Brooks-Colson will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. CST at Whitehall Missionary Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL, Reverend Ed Vines, Pastor / Officiating.

Burial will follow in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Camp Hill, AL.

Ms. Brooks-Colson leaves to cherish her memories, three children: Adarius Colson of West Point, GA, Cameron Brooks of Camp Hill, AL, and Lacy Brooks of Toledo, OH; four loving sisters, Charlotte (Denis) Stone of Dadeville, AL, Courtless (Gregory) Rampey of LaFayette, AL, Minnie Huguley and Faye (Jerome) Dunn both of Lanett, AL; brother, Tyrone (Denise) Brooks of Lanett, AL; five aunts, Fatha (Otis) Carlisle and Doris Brooks both of LaFayette, AL; Renia Jackson of Valley, AL; Sadie Holloway of Atlanta, GA; and Melissa Connelly of Garden City, NY; three uncles, Lucious (Dorothy) Holloway of Manhattan, NY; Maurice (Emma) Patrick of Dothan, AL; and Steve (Brenda) Holloway of Opelika, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
