Ms. Evelyn Valencia Brummitt-King, 68 of Mitchellville, Maryland formerly of Dadeville, AL passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at her home in Mitchellville, Maryland.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM CST until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel, Lafayette, AL.
Ms. Brummitt-King will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, 12:00 PM CST at Ebenezer District Center, Camp Hill, AL. Reverend Justin Freeman, Officiating/Eulogist.
Interment will follow funeral service at Brummitt Cemetery, Camp Hill, AL.
Evelyn was a devoted mother to Chieko Deboise, Katischa Creek, and Natassja King (Dalonte Hopkins), George Joseph King Jr., Myron Creek. Her legacy lives on through her beloved grandchildren – DaNassjia Allison, Alyssa DeBoise, Aniya Walker, Erin DeBoise, Mya Hopkins, Ava Hopkins, Austyn Smith, Thaddeus Harris, and Jeremiah Harris – and her great-granddaughter, Nylah Allison, her most recently welcomed great-grandbaby.
She shared life and memories with her siblings Cupid Ann Gray, Katischa “Tish” McLean, and Curtis Lee Brummitt.
