Ms. Jimmie Sue Scott “Sister Gal”, 69 of Lanett, AL passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025.

Public Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. EST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.

Ms. Scott will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, 2:00 PM EST at New Dimension Worship Center in Valley, AL, Bishop Donald Lancaster, Pastor | Officiating.

Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Lanett, AL.

Ms. Scott leaves cherished memories with her daughters, Denise Scott (Tyrone Brooks, Sr.), Quancez Scott and Andrea (Demarco) Farrow, all of Lanett, Alabama and Janice Thomas of Brooklyn, New York; sons, Jamel Scott of Brooklyn, New York, William Scott of Essex Junction, Vermont, Lashawn Scott of Lanett, Alabama and Niheem Hutchinson of Cranston, Rhode Island, she leaves her loving grandchildren: Jayshon Burton, Jakira Burton, Alayshia Whitfield, Elijah Whitfield, Tyren Brooks, Alajawon Whitfield, Tyrone Brooks Jr., Jamain Scott, Jayceon Scott, Eriyane Scott, Amelia Scott, Eboni Thomas, Elexis Thomas, E’naisha Thomas, Emmanuel Thomas, Emmitt Thomas, and Journey Scott, two great grandchildren; sisters, Lorraine (Larry) Zachery, Vernetta Scott (Arthur Daniel) and Tamika Scott (Anthony Pollard); brothers, Richard (Renee) Carter, James (Libby) Scott and Keith Scott, all of Lanett, Alabama; godsons, Richard Dawson and Reginal(Katina)Dunn, goddaughters, Antoinette Robinson, Ravin Myhand, and Erica Love; a host of nieces, cousins, and friends.
