Ms. Katie Ruth Thomas, 76 of Roanoke, AL passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Wellstar Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA.

Public Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.

Ms. Thomas will lie in state at the church at 1:30 p.m. CST until the funeral hour.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, 2:00 p.m. CST at New Beginning Outreach Ministry in Roanoke, AL, Bishop Tom Staples, Jr. | Pastor; Minister Charles Hughley, Eulogist.

Ms. Thomas leaves to celebrate her legacy and to cherish many fond memories to her five children, Charles Hughley, Jimmy Thomas, Malito Thomas, Tonya Thomas, and Starlitha Thomas, one brother, Sammie Lee Hughley Jr., three sisters, Flora Hughley, Barbara Dell Thomas and Alma Rene Owensby, eighteen grandchildren, Tequila (Broski) Peterson, Sequoyah (Curry) Whitlow, Rodriquez (Lela) Fuller, Alexandria McFarlin, Sequonte Burdette, Saquavion Burdette, Saquondah Burdette, K’Lynn Thomas, Shamere Thomas, Tytiana Thomas, Keontae Stepp, Sariyah Thomas, Timora Thomas, Sacaria Thomas, Savannah Thomas, Mario Price Jr., Camontae Atwater and Shaneka Hughley, twelve great-grandchildren , a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
