Ms. Mattie P. Gates, 63 of LaFayette, AL passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 at LaFayette Nursing Home in LaFayette, AL.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019, 2:00 p.m. CST at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Melvin Owens, Pastor; Officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in LaFayette, AL.

Mattie leaves cherished memories to her loving mother, Jessie B. Gates of White Plains, AL, her daughter, Felecia LaQunna Brock (Danny) of LaFayette, AL, a special granddaughter, Daniyah LaZerial Brock, her sister, Ethel Lee (Charles) King, of LaFayette, AL, two brothers, Jessie James Gates of White Plains, AL and Harrison Gates of Talladega, AL, one aunt, Mary Chambers of Dawson, GA, a special friend, William Ballard, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
