Reverend Sylvester L. Hicks, 69 of Five Points, AL passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette

Reverend Hicks will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, 11:00 a.m. CST at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Michael Stigger, Pastor, Overseer Derrick Vines, Eulogist.

Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Lanett, AL.

Reverend Hicks leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Gloria Hicks of Five Points, AL, two daughters, Shakiki (Kevin) Briscoe of Five Points, AL and Cashaundra Hicks of Valley, AL, one sister, Dorothy (K.C.) Avery of Valley, AL, three grandchildren, Keaun’tea Holloway, Kevin Briscoe, Jr. and Shakeriana Paige, two aunts, Ella (Jack) Jackson of Opelika, AL and Dorothy Dozier of Valley, AL, three uncles, Conzo Copeland and Lenard Copeland of Valley, AL, and Roger Copeland of Opelika, AL, sisters-in-law, Wendy Kyles and Christella Bell of Valley, AL, Mary (Gary) Todd of Opelika, AL, Charlene Kyles of Five Points, AL, two brothers-in-law, Anthony Kyles and Charlie Kyles, special friends, Minister Denise Grigg Reed, Calvin Cochran and Willie Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
