Mr. George W. Melton Jr., 68 of Roanoke, AL passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at his residence.

Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020, 2:00 p.m. CST at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Wadley, AL, Pastor Douglas Jones Sr.; Officiating

He leaves to cherish his memories his two daughters, LaDonia (Shoh) Bonner and Sandra Rene Foster (Anthony Abner) both of Roanoke, AL, six siblings, Jonathan (Sophia) Melton of Calera, AL,  Cynthia Lee and Beverly (James) Riggins both of Vincent, AL, Carolyn Boykins of Deer Lodge, Montana, Mattie Tilly of Orlando, FL, and Mary (Charles) Mitchell of Detroit, MI, six sister-in-laws, Charlotte (Jesse) Abner, Cathy Whittington, Pricilla (Alford) Hudson, Regina Smith, Jacquline Smith, and Sandra (George) Anderson, three brother-in-laws, Charles (Sheryl) Smith, Michael (Roberta) Smith, and John Smith,   four grandchildren, Brianna Bonner, Ashley, Maurice, and Shantavia Foster, all of Roanoke, AL, a great-granddaughter, Jordyn S. Edwards of Roanoke, AL, a special friend, Harold Whitlow of Roanoke, AL, one aunt, three uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
