Mr. Recardo Giddens

Mr. Recardo Giddens, 39 of Lafayette, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. CST at Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette, AL, Pastor Bishop Frank McLeod, Officiating.

Public Visitation for Mr. Giddens will be on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. CST, at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette, Alabama.

Mr. Recardo DeShuan Giddens “Loco” was born September 27, 1981, to the parents of Mr. Jeffrey and Mrs. Ruby Giddens in Chambers County, AL.

He confessed Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at a very young age with Miracle Revival Temple. He attended God’s House of Prayer and Chosen Generation Worship Center International.

Recardo was a graduate of LaFayette High, Class of 2000. 

He was a kind-hearted person who loved everyone, especially his family. His children was his pride and joy. He enjoyed making people laugh, attending church, dancing, very outgoing and loved life.  He will be truly missed by many.

On Tuesday, September 21, 2021, Recardo departed this life at  Lake Martin Community Hospital in Dadeville, Alabama.  He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ocie Lee Giddens and Bobbie Lee Swint; grandfathers, Sylvester Swint and Jessie Presley and five uncles and aunts.

Recardo leaves to cherish his precious memories: His beloved mother and father, Jeffery and Ruby Giddens of LaFayette, AL; two sons, Dai’Quan Giddens of LaFayette, AL and JaMarious Roundtree of Montgomery, AL; four daughters, Ashanti Phillips of Montgomery, AL, Janecia Gates, Kalei Giddens both of LaFayette, AL and Amariah Giddens of Lanett, AL; two sisters, Kastella Turner of Beauregard, AL and Stephanie Giddens (Marvin Silmon) of LaFayette, AL; four brothers, Jessie (Tawana) Swint, David (Valerie) Swint, Terrance Giddens all of LaFayette, AL and Darryl Swint of Union Springs, AL; three nieces, Amia Jennings of Beauregard, AL, NyKeria Giddens of LaFayette, AL and TaKayla Wallace of Valley, AL; nine aunts, Mattie (Thomas)  Kyles, Mary Williams, Patricia Smith, Dorothy (Haynes, Jr.) Avery, Ocie Mae Turner all of LaFayette, AL, Caroline Giddens of Lagrange, GA, Betty Swint, Lucille Swint of Baltimore, MD, and Willie Eva Holloway of Toccoa, GA; six uncles, Sylvester (Minnie Kate) Swint, Jr., Luther (Jean) Swint, Frank James Presley all of LaFayette, AL, Jerome (Janetta) Giddens of Lanett, AL., Eddie (Cora) Giddens of Lagrange, GA, Houston Giddens of McDonough, GA.; a host great nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

There will not be a repast after service.
