Mrs. Barbara V. Finley McKinnie

Mrs. Barbara Virginia Finley McKinnie, 67 of Atlanta, GA, transitioned from this life on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at her home. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 7, 2020, 5pm-6pm CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home, LaFayette,  AL.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020, 12 noon EST at Faith A.M.E. Zion Church, 38 Hamilton E. Holmes Dr. NW, Atlanta, GA, Pastor Brandon M. Moore Officiating; Rev. Reginald Finley, Eulogist. 

Mrs. Barbara Virginia Finley McKinnie was born March 6, 1952 in Chambers County, Alabama to the parentage of the late Mr. Albert Finley and Mrs. Sarah Ware Finley. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin McKinnie.

Mrs. McKinnie is survived by her daughter, Crystal Vonetta McKinnie Booker, her son, Ernesto Phillip’ (Tasheena) Powell; five grandchildren: Frank III, Franshe’ and Corey Booker, Tianna and Tayvian Powell; three great-grandchildren: Kennedy, Jordyn and Carmelo Booker; four brothers: Albert Finley Jr., Charles (Nell) Finley and Walter (Josephine) Finley all of LaFayette, AL and James (Margie) Finley of Mobile, AL.; five sister: Mary (Alfred) Jennings of Lanett, AL, Dorothy (Julian Sr.) Relf of Decatur, GA, Isabella Jackson and Lorene Holloway of LaFayette, AL., and Cynthia (Dwyane) Fears of West Point, GA.; brother-in-law, Stanley McKinnie; a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.
