Ms. Shirley Ruth Silmon, 61 of LaFayette, AL passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020 at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, GA.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020, 2:00 p.m. CST in The Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Douglas Jones, Officiating.

Ms. Silmon is survived by her significant other, Willie Story of Lafayette, AL; two sons, LeBrandon Silmon of Charlotte, NC and Deandre Silmon of Lafayette, AL; one god-granddaughter, Kahayla Keymora Eason of Jackson Gap, AL; seven sisters, Mary Todd of Lake City, GA; Bertha Pringle of Stone Mountain, GA; Shirley (Darryl) Winston and Barbara Jordan of Atlanta, GA; Christine Brown of Temple, GA; Linda (Ernest) Floyd-Hicks of Ellenwood GA and Jennifer (Joe) Harris of Decatur, GA; one brother, Carl Floyd of Ellenwood, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
